2014 Journals (Video)

I'm trying something new with my journals this year. Some ideas are working better than others, so I thought I'd share my process and the journals I am using this year.

Great video… I really like the idea of the separate signatures. Are you using acrylic paints? Do you gesso every page or do you use watercolor paints on some of them? I noticed you have date stamped some pages, do you do that when you consider the page 'done' or when you start it? I'm going to sketchbook skool too… I don't write in my drawing journals… but I like your written journal with some sketches… see you in class.

Thanks Elaine. Let me answer your questions one at a time.
1. Yes, I use acrylic paints (cheap craft bottles), and watercolor paints on my pages.
2. No I do not gesso every page. I only gesso pages that I think will have a lot of layers on them.
3. I use the stamp to note that I am done with a page. I never go back and tweak a page once that stamp is on.
4. I like the mix of writing and sketches in one journal. Am loving exploring that this year.
